Granite Countertops

Slab granite slab countertops are a long-term investment that will add beauty, elegance, and value to your home.

There are several different options to choose from when selecting slab countertops. Granite is offered in a variety of colors and styles, each bringing its own unique characteristics.

Granite is one of the top choices for a high activity area because it is one of the hardest stones available. Granite is known for its durability and longevity.

Understanding the Characteristics of Granite Slab:

  1. Color Variation - All granite slabs will vary in color from one slab to the next, and will also vary in color within the same slab. No two slabs of the same color will be exactly the same.
  2. Veining - All natural stone/granite slabs will have veining within the slab. This is a normal characteristic of the stone and is not considered a defect.
  3. Imperfections - Mineral spots are inherent of granite. These are small spots that can show slightly lighter or darker in that given area. “Fissures” are often mistaken for cracks in the stone. These are not cracks or defects, but rather a natural part of the stone.
  4. Thickness - Granite can vary slightly in thickness within the same piece of stone.

All of the above stated items are normal conditions and characteristics of granite and natural stone.
